Crystal Wands

Crystal wands are elongated, polished stone forms that showcase a mineral's color, clarity, and internal structure along their full length. The shape allows you to see deep into a stone's interior, revealing inclusions, phantoms, color zoning, and translucency that other forms might hide.

Available in selenite, clear quartz, fluorite, rose quartz, amethyst, and many more. Styles include faceted points, rounded massage wands, and natural crystal points. Sizes range from pocket wands to large display pieces.

Wands make a striking addition to any crystal collection and set your display apart from the more common spheres and towers. Browse our crystal home decor for more display pieces, or explore crystal pyramids for another carved form. Free shipping on all U.S. orders over $150.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a crystal wand?

A crystal wand is an elongated mineral piece, either naturally formed (like a selenite satin spar rod) or carved and polished into a pointed or rounded shape. Wands range from 3 to 12+ inches long and can be tapered to a point at one or both ends. They are one of the oldest carved crystal forms, used across cultures for centuries.

What stones make the best crystal wands?

Selenite wands are the most popular — their fibrous crystal structure creates a natural glow and satin luster. Clear quartz wands are valued for their transparency and light-refracting properties. Fluorite wands showcase dramatic color banding. Amethyst and rose quartz wands offer rich color in an elegant form.

How are crystal wands different from towers?

Towers are cut with a flat base to stand upright and typically have a hexagonal or cylindrical profile. Wands are longer and narrower, designed to be held in the hand rather than displayed standing. Some wands are double-terminated (pointed at both ends), while towers always have a flat base and single point.

How do I display crystal wands?

Crystal wands look best laid horizontally — on a shelf, in a display tray, or on a dedicated wand stand. Group wands of different minerals together for a curated look. Clear acrylic stands or felt-lined trays keep wands secure and visible. Selenite wands also display beautifully near a window where they catch natural light.

Are crystal wands fragile?

It depends on the mineral. Selenite wands (Mohs 2) are the most delicate — they can scratch easily and should not get wet. Quartz wands (Mohs 7) are very durable. Fluorite wands (Mohs 4) are intermediate. Handle all wands carefully at the thinnest points, as tapered tips can chip if dropped.
